The marvellous picture of Queen Victoria is on loan from the
city. The frame is spectacular and the picture is positively
massive. It is located in the Rotunda area and is probably
one of the most popular paintings in the building.



The ornate inscription at the bottom of the frame outlines the
presentation of the portrait. This picture given to Mayor Allan
celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday May 24, 1855.
