The Great Library


The statue is made of Carrara marble and stands
approximately seven feet high and is symbolic of
the poem of Rupert Brooks "These Laid the World
Away". It depicts a youth discarding the robes
of daily life as he offers himself for service.

The memorial panel is approximately fifteen feet
high and beneath the names of three hundred members
of the Law Society who gave their lives.
