figures. William Warren Baldwin was a lawyer, a doctor and one
of the architects of Osgoode Hall. His son Robert Baldwin was
Prime Minister of the United Canadas. Robert and William
Baldwin assisted achieving responsible government in Canada.
John Hillyard Cameron was a great criminal lawyer of the last
century, who took on the defense of James Whelan, the Fenian
accused in the assassination of Cabinet Minister D'Arcy McGee
in 1868.
